![]() I think they have stopped making this tent as I couldn't find any mention of it on the Vango website. The Vango Velocity The tent can be erected in minutes, using the double action pump provided with the tent. The tent has a stack of space for one bloke with enough room in the sleeping area for a double air bed and bags and lots of storage space for the outer tent too. Available as a 200, 300, and 400 it has an array of features including double entrance, large porch. It takes minutes to pump up the poles and about 15mins total to put out the guys and peg it out. All in a single weekend! Yet it stood up straight with no issues what so ever! When I used it for the first time last month it was gale force winds, sun/heat that cracked the pavement and intermittent heavy rain/lightning storms. I do have a couple of niggles with the design though.ġ)The pump isn’t a tight fit to the holes and therefore is a pain to pump up, all the while the pressure indicator taunts you by never being accurate ever. This is a pain as Vango tell you to pump up to a specific pressure but if you can’t get a good seal then you can’t get an accurate reading. They should really look into this.Ģ)The tent is way too short to cook in (only dare to do this in terrible weather) and I didn’t trust the ventilation for it either although this isn’t the problem. The issue is the door zips to the side and not to the roof and the taper means that if the door is open then there is a direct route for the rain to come into the tent (not helpful considering the weekend I had). I solved this by getting a cheap tarp and placing it over the door way (not unlike the picture above). ![]() This gave me some shelter while cooking and a chance to have the door open and get some fresh air in the tent without worrying about the chance of sudden storms appearing. If you have used this product please leave a review, or your comments for other visitors, many thanks! Other than these 2 niggles, this tent is excellent and I look forward to my next camping trip this weekend!Ġ from 1 people found this review helpful, was it helpful to you?Īdd your review of the Velocity 400 Airbeam!
